Jan Makandal is a long-time revolutionary proletarian militant. He organized with the Workers Committee of Rockland County in the 1970s in upstate New York, as well as with a group of Haitian revolutionaries building a mass movement based among workers and peasants during the fall of Duvalier, plus other organizations in the US and Haiti.
