Paul Webb began his career at a famous zoo that specialized in captive breeding programs for rare species. After eight years left with the conviction that captive breeding has no role to play in the conservation of species or habitat. Worked for the ruling family of a Gulf State for many years, turning half the country into a wildlife reserve, and looking after the largest herd of Arabian Oryx in the world, which was by then extinct in the wild. Organized and funded numerous projects all over the world to preserve the rare flora and fauna and participated in field work to secure the habitat of numerous species. Produced a book on the wildlife and environment of the region for the ruling family. Spent four years in the remote and forbidden zones of the southern Maldives writing and producing a book on the environment for the President's Office of the Maldives. Now a full-time writer and researcher specializing in the conservation of habitat and wildlife, having recently published my latest work 'The Second Level of Extinction - Wildlife, Conservation and the Myth of Captive Breeding in Zoos' and am presently working on a volume about the Black-Footed ferret captive breeding and reintroduction scheme by the USFWS.'

Born in Hobart, Tasmania, Sean Rabin has worked as a cook, script reader, copy-editor, freelance journalist and librarian. He has lived in Ireland, Italy, London and New York, and now resides in Sydney, Australia. His debut novel Wood Green (Giramondo) was shortlisted for The Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards 2017 and The Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction 2016 and was also longlisted for the ALS Gold Medal. It was published in the UK by Dodo Ink in 2016.

Darcia Narvaez is Professor Emerita of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA). She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, the American Educational Research Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She studies moral development and human flourishing from an interdisciplinary perspective, integrating anthropology, neuroscience, clinical, developmental and educational sciences. She has published hundreds of papers and over 20 books including the multi-award-winning book, Neurobiology and the Development of Human Morality: Evolution, Culture and Wisdom. She serves as president of KindredWorld.org and hosts the webpage EvolvedNest.org.

Wahinkpe Topa (Four Arrows), aka Don Trent Jacobs, self-identifies as Irish/Cherokee, but follows the spiritual path of the Oglala Lakota as a made-relative of and Sun Dancer with the Medicine Horse tiospaya. He lived and worked on the Pine Ridge Reservation a Director of Education at Oglala Lakota College.  Currently at Fielding Graduate University’s School of Leadership Studies, he has authored 21 books and numerous other publications on applications of our original Nature-based worldview. AERO selected him as one of 27 visionaries in education and he is the recipient of the Martin Springer Institute moral courage award for his activism. He lives with his artist wife in Mexico where he surfs, plays handball, rides horses and plays gypsy jazz on the keyboard.

Michael Kellett is executive director of the New England nonprofit organization, RESTORE: The North Woods, which he co-founded in 1992. He has been involved in national park, wilderness, public land, and endangered species issues for more than 30 years. In 1994, he developed the proposal for a 3.2-million-acre Maine Woods National Park, which laid the groundwork for the 2016 designation by President Obama of Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. In Massachusetts, he has worked to protect Walden Woods and Henry David Thoreau's birthplace, and helped to develop legislation introduced in 2019, which would protect state conservation lands from logging and other development.

I've always been a nature lover. Living on Nantucket, the beloved, critically endangered North Atlantic Right Whales have been part of my life, as it is for all those who live on the island. I became aware in 2019, of a proposal to transform one of the whales' last nursery and feeding sites, into the nation's first, largest in the world offshore wind array, of 1,400 turbines. I became alarmed to learn the developers were given a special permit to interfere with the whales' basic behaviors when necessary during construction. Our government permitting agencies also intend to use this first array as a "test bed" on our whales and ecosystem, to establish regulation of the industry going forward. I formed Cape and Islands Wildlife Conservation Alliance, to spread awareness and engage those who wish to stop the projects, until adequate studies and steps are in place before construction, to save these magnificent whales from extinction."

Lisa Linowes resides in rural New Hampshire and has been a leading figure in the wind energy debate for nearly two decades. She serves as Executive Director for the Windaction Group, a national advocacy focused on the impact and policy issues associated with industrial wind energy development. Lisa has testified before Congress on environmental issues, and she has held elected and volunteer positions in community planning and land negotiation.

Bruce S. Post, a 1969 Norwich graduate, has worked for several members of the Vermont and other congressional delegations.  He was Chief of Staff for U.S. Rep. John B. Anderson during Anderson’s 1980 presidential campaign and also served as a researcher and speechwriter for U.S. Senator Hubert H. Humphrey in the 1972 Democratic presidential primaries.  As Vermont Governor Richard Snelling’s Director of Planning and Research, Bruce developed a comprehensive perspective on multiple issues facing Vermont. He now writes and lectures on Vermont’s environmental history.  He is the creator of the Mountain Manifesto -- http://mountainmanifesto.org -- and his article “The Road to Paradise, Lost: The Defeat of the Green Mountain Parkway,” appeared in the Bennington Museum’s Walloomsack Review.  His two-part series “History of Vermont Environmentalism” was published in the Review’s Spring and Autumn, 2017, editions.  He also wrote on environmental problems in the former Soviet Union for the Johns Hopkins University’s SAIS Review, and the New York Times published his letter on the effects of oil extraction in western North Dakota. Bruce served on the Vermont State Board of Libraries for eleven years, including nine years as Chair. He also was on the board of Rokeby Museum and on the Green Mountain Club’s history and archives committee.
